Platform Golf Putting Game© rules

RULES OF THE DREAMGREEN Platform GolfGAME© Duffy Golf, Inc.

Each Platform Golf Putting game consists of 18 holes played from different locations on the putting surface. There are 4 par 3's, 4 par 5's, and 10 par 4's totaling a par 72. The scoring system is based on a two ball format.

Green Set-Up

  • Your DreamGreen™ is designed for indoor use only.
  • One course layout is provided with each green.
  • Eighteen decals are placed on the putting surface (suggested placement of numbers 1 through 18 are included on accompanying diagram). 12-foot models have 9 decals (par 36).
  • Break station settings for each hole are indicated on the scorecard. Par is also shown on the scorecard. (Variations of course layouts and break station settings are almost limitless).
  • A cup is located near each end of the putting surface. Balls will be played in each direction. Note: 12-foot models have one cup.
  • A 24-inch circle is placed around each hole of the 16- and 20-foot models. The 12-foot model has a 20-inch circle.

Scoring System Instructions

  • The game may be played by one or more players, and may be stroke or match play, individual or team format. A USGA size golf ball is used.
  • Before play begins, each player is given a number (1 to usually no more than eight per game).
  • Make the appropriate break station adjustments to recontour the course prior to play on each hole.
  • The game begins by Player #1 placing the ball on decal #1 (Hole #1) and putts. Then Player #2 putts and so on until all players have putted their first ball. Player #1 then putts a second ball from the same spot (#1 decal), then Player #2 putts his second ball, and so on until all Players have putted their second ball.
  • Player #2 then leads off by placing ball on decal #2 (Hole #2) and putts the the first ball; Player #3 putts next, and so on until all players have putted two balls.
  • Player #3 putts first on Hole #3, and so on.
  • Regardless of how many players there are, no player leads on two holes in a row, since players continue to rotate.

Scoring

  • A ball which comes to rest in the hole is counted as one.
  • A ball which comes to rest in the circle, or any part of the ball OVER the circle is counted as two.
  • Any ball which comes to rest outside the circle is three.
  • Optional: A ball that rolls off the putting surface may be counted as four.
  • Look directly over the ball to determine if it is a score of two or three.
  • The score for each hole is determined by adding the scores of ball #1 & ball #2.
  • Four team members required during match play. Subs can be used.

The 20-foot model has 16 break stations with four levels of breaks per station and are located on both sides of the green. Breaks are lettered A, B, C, and D. D represents the highest (most severe) break. The 16-foot model has 12 break stations, and the 12-models each have 6. Both ends of the green also elevate on the 20-, 16-, and 12-foot models.
